A talk with “Y”
A couple of days ago I asked one of our students, “como estas”? She answered, “mas o menos” (so so), so I asked is it better than worse or worse than better? She said it was bad. We sat down outside during recess and she told me she had lost a cell phone that she had loaned and that she felt really bad because she wasn’t coming to church. She said she felt lonely, away from her parents, that even in church she didn’t feel appreciated by kids who should be her peers. She felt rejected in the classroom because she was working hard at holding her high grades.
We talked for a while and wondered what Christ must have felt when he was rejected by the very ones he came to save. We talked about a life full of trials and in the end even I was encouraged to go on living for Christ.
Pray for ”Y”, that she would continue to walk in God’s grace and be a strong witness in our school.
