How YOU can get involved!

Please pray for the school:

· Last month we were praying that the Lord would send students who needed to hear the gospel. We have a good number of new students, now let’s pray that we would be bold in delivering the message and that they would soften their hearts to accept grace.

· For the witness of Christian students and teachers to remain strong for the sake of those lost around them.

· We don’t know what to expect from the government. There is definitely an anti-private school sentiment, and there seems to be an anti-Christian one as well.

Would you like to visit or bring a TEAM?

If you are considering bringing a team down, here are a couple of things to consider. Construction around here is generally done with adobe, brick, cement, and steel. Do we have work? We have painting, roofing (tiles), we need new floors, the lot next door needs a church building/school auditorium that can seat about 450, bathrooms, small projects and big ones. There is plenty of work to do. Also, the school can always use Biblical mime lessons, puppets, you could share some music, Bible lessons in Elementary and Junior High classrooms and Friday chapel (we can find a translator). And that only covers the school grounds. There is a College level one year Bible school that is part of our local church ministry which is across a suspended bridge and on a more Bolivian farmlike location. If you have time there are numerous villages starting at 30 minutes off the beaten path that will take you into offroad Bolivia where Guarani people and others are in need to hear the gospel and others need to many could use encouragement to grow their faith. The fun thing about sharing is that you will also be encouraged!

Let us know if you would like to come alone, or bring a team down for a visit and we can plan it out.

Future projects at school:

You could support a student. I know this sounds like a Worldvision promo, but some of our students come from very difficult family situations and financial backgrounds. We have parents who have lost their jobs, students without parents or with parents who don’t care at all. If you are interested in helping one of them let us know and we can give you a list of names to choose from. We would be glad to send you a picture and put you in contact with your student. You could even write to them about Christ!

· We currently have 5 computers in our school and would like 10 more to open a computer lab.

. We need to replace at least a couple of roofs. Floors need to be redone, and there is electrical work to do.

· The elementary could really use a few playground items (A couple of swings, slides…)

We are hoping to expand the school grounds to be able to have some needed classrooms and a play area for the kids.

We really need more Spanish books in the library we just opened up for the school! If you are interested in knowing the types of books we need, please e-mail us.

To Consider:

Though the school receives payments from parents, we are still estimating a year deficit of aproximately $6000. Over the past 52 years the Lord has provided the funds through random gifts. As the transition goes from the formal principal, Eugene Train, to us, we pray that either the Lord raise up people who would be willing to support this work so that the school can continue reaching the needy or that he would give the school enough paying student families to sustain the work itself.

Romans 11:36 says, “For of him, and through him, and unto him, are all things. To him be the glory for ever. Amen.” It is our feeling that it is all His anyway. We are so excited to have others join us to be a part of His great work here in Camiri, Bolivia!
